CoronaMelder development and evaluation
- Member of Behavioral Sciences Taskforce of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, that advises on the design, development, and implementation of the CoronaMelder app.
- Member of CoronaMelder Evaluation team of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. I have led several studies, including a representative six-wave panel study on the (determinants of) adoption of the CoronaMelder and adherence to the health advices given in a notification. Reports can be downloaded at the publication list here or at the website of the central goverment. The results were used to formulate advises about the implementation (communication and design) of the CoronaMelder. In addition, the results were used in a recent KNAW report about pandemic preparedness. I have written a reflection on the results of the CoronaMelder evaluation. ome key learning can be yielded from the longitudinal 6 wave study in which we followed CoronaMelder users and non-users 1.5 years (directly after introduction until just before the deactivation).
